We have discovered the winery La Hacienda Escondida in Mascota that had been producing wines for the past several years. These wines are made in small amounts and are quite tasty. We especially enjoyed them because they are made without preservatives, aging enhancers, artificial color or flavor. You can visit the Hacienda for a wine tasting on Saturday or Sunday hosted by the lovely and interesting owner/operator Shirley Boccaccio and her son Peter. They also have an organic garden.
