As the river flows

As you may already know..we had a bad flood due to the hurricane last month.  One of our Friends, Bill M, was so kind as to put up a go fund me page to help with the damage control.  For you our members, this means our root crops such as potatoes, carrots, beets, onions and squash, melons, watermelons were lost in the flood.  Also our fencing.  The house was in 3  feet of running water which resulted in loss of heirloom seeds, tools and irrigation equipment.

Having said that.

We are humbled by the great response from our friends and members who wish to help us get back on our feet.  Many of you have dropped by with gifts that were unexpected and greatly appreciated.

We already have started up new plants in the shade house in San Sabastian and replaced a chain saw so we can start rebuilding fences.

You can expect produce from the San Sebastian gardens, that are also a bit late due to the rainy weather.  And we lost a portion of the large shade house to a fallen tree.

Ana and I have been spending a lot of time on the farm with replanting and getting our hands seems the sand left behind is perfect for the root crops..big smile.

Thanks again
